Dominic's First Haircut

He loved it and was so good! He was sitting on my lap so I only have a couple of pictures. He was such a good boy! He really doesn't have much hair but it needed to be cleaned up just a little bit. Love my little man and his cute little curls.
And his first time playing putt putt golf. D and I had to watch him closely. He was dangerous swinging that club and really wanted to jump in the water falls. Otherwise, a fun time!

Easter 2012

Dominic and I hosted Easter at our house this year. His parents and sister came down from Cleveland and my mom, sister and her kids came over for the day. The weather was beautiful and the kids loved their easter baskets. The week before Easter, we colored eggs, visited EB (both kids loved him!), and went on a couple egg hunts. I love having and creating these memories with my two monsters. :)

March 2012

My mom, sister and I took the kids to see the play "Annie." They loved it but it bothered Giana a little bit. She's very sensative. :)
Sadly, just after Dorothy's third birthday, she passed away. She had a good run. We miss her. (OK, I miss her. No one else seems to care.) RIP, Dorothy.
My friend Cindy and I took the girls to see the Fresh Beat Band. Cindy found the jackets and added the stars. I'm pretty sure they were excited for the evening. Can you tell?
Giana has been begging to take ice skating lessons for the past two years. We finally gave in. She loves it and is doing so well! This isn't the best picture since I took it through the glass but you get the idea.
Happy half birthday to Giana and Sarah. It was really St. Patrick's Day and we had our friends over for a cook out...and just happened to be the girls half birthdays. So we celebrated!
Girls trip to Boston! Cindy and I went and we shopped, ate, shopped, drank, shopped, walked...and did I mention that we shopped? Fun times! Sadly, I only took a couple of pictures.

Dominic and Jack

Jack Hanna spoke at Dominic's hotel and brought several animals with him including a jaguar and penguin. Giana was upset that she couldn't come to see him and his animals. That same day, Joe Biden was also speaking at his hotel and there was too much security and chaos. Maybe next time, G.

Dominic and Jack

Baby Jaguar. Dominic sent several pictures from his blackberry. The animals were out of their cages and they were able to pet them, but Dominic stayed far, far away and the pictures were blurry. That's my guy...not an animal lover. Really, he was just afraid and said they stunk.

Leap Year Baby

Happy 18th birthday, Mom! Love you!

18 Months

It sure does go by quickly. Dominic is 18 months old, talking, running, climbing and ornery as ever! He loves to watch Barney (I need to find a Barney for him!), he's a great sleeper (12-14 hours every night) but he's a PICKY eater. Mommy isn't a short order cook...or really any kind of cook for that matter...so baby D better start eating. Although, he does like bathroom cleaner (caught him just in time before he sucked it down) but he won't eat chocolate. Go figure. At his 18 month check up, his weight was perfect so apparently he's getting enough calories. He keeps up with our busy schedule and loves to play with Giana. We sneak in some fun activities while G's at school like library time, baby play groups, toddler trampoline time at Skyzone, toddler play at local churches and community center play time. Love having the one on one time with him. He's been a joy. Pure joy.

"What are we doing today, Mommy?"

I've created a sweet monster and Giana has been busy! We've covered a lot of "fun" over the past couple of months. She loves the library so we spend time there doing story time, crafts and reading. She got her own library card a few weeks ago and she's just thrilled about it! Between school, crafts, library, play dates, massages (she has a good life), sleepovers, indoor parks and art class...we have been busy and I'm tired! But Giana is the energizer bunny and there's no time for rest. Sleep is overrated.
